Yesterday a man was jailed for 24 years at Exeter Crown Court. He had raped five women in Devon and Somerset after spiking their drinks.
Four of the five victims did not initially report their ordeals to the police.
Based on our experiences at StopTopps, we are horrified but not surprised.
Most incidents of drink spiking and the consequences that follow appear not to be reported meaning official crime statistics don’t give anything like a true picture of the extent of this sickening crime.
