Stamp Out Spiking Partnership with the FCDO

Stamp Out Spiking is excited to announce our partnership with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Government Travel Advice programme to provide essential safeguarding advice for travelers heading abroad. Through this collaboration, we aim to empower travelers with practical tips and awareness strategies that can make a big difference in ensuring personal safety.

Traveling to new destinations can be thrilling, but it also means encountering unfamiliar surroundings and cultures. In these settings, it’s vital to stay vigilant and take measures to protect yourself and those around you. This partnership helps to promote proactive safety steps that can help prevent incidents, including drink spiking—a risk that may not be top of mind for travelers but can have severe consequences.

Our practical safety tips, which are highlighted under the Prevention tab on our website’s Travel Advice page, focus on ways to keep you safe while enjoying your time abroad. These tips include staying aware of your drink at all times, never leaving it unattended, and only accepting drinks from trusted sources. We also encourage travelers to have a buddy system, watch out for each other, and be cautious in situations that don’t feel right.

Whether you’re planning a quick getaway or a long trip, our shared goal with the FCDO Travel Advice programme is to make sure every traveler feels safe and prepared. By spreading awareness and providing tools to mitigate risks, we hope to reduce spiking incidents and support a culture of safe and enjoyable travel for everyone.
